Our Different Foundation
The very foundation of our approach reveals why we are so different.
We believe in the supremacy and sufficiency of Scripture. We rely on the Holy Spirit and believe HIS wisdom is far more powerful than all our human experience and qualifications could ever be. We believe in spiritual warfare and that it is the framework in which ALL of life’s struggles take place.
So, whether we work with individuals, couples, or church leaders and congregations, and whether we are counseling for marital problems, emotional struggles, physical ailments, or spiritual concerns, we rely on this foundation to guide our counseling methods.
Our Different Method
How does this unique foundation impact our counseling practices?
- Unique counselors: while our licensed, professional counselors are qualified and capable of clinically diagnosing clients, they are all trained to rely completely on the leading of the Holy Spirit for each person or couple. Rather than stifling the Holy Spirit with human knowledge, our counselors carefully pray and invite the Holy Spirit into each session, allowing His unlimited wisdom, knowledge, and transformative power to inform them and their counsel. Furthermore, each of our counselors, many of whom are also ordained ministers, operate in the spiritual gifts, such as prophecy, words of knowledge, healing, words of wisdom, etc. When you meet with one of our counselors, know that you will be encountering the Holy Spirit in a very real, transformative way.
- Wholistic approach: because our heavenly Father desires his children to be whole and healthy in body, mind, and spirit, we approach each client with this wholistic mindset as well. For each individual, couple, and congregation we work with, we address the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health so that complete wholeness and victory can be won.
- Spiritual warfare: we approach all counseling and training situations from a spiritual warfare perspective. As the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 6, we know our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness. This also means we rely on the spiritual weapons of the Word, the Holy Spirit, the name of Jesus, and others to help you fight your battle and gain victory. With each client, we help you understand how your personal struggle fits in the context of spiritual warfare and will help you battle on that level and gain victory at the very source of the struggle.

Because we lean not on our own understanding and invite the transforming presence and power of the Holy Spirit and God’s Word into our counseling sessions, the results we see for our clients are often different from what they experienced in previous counseling settings.
