If you need to overcome a problem, fervent prayer is your key to victory.
We all live in a broken and fallen world, a place where one cannot totally avoid the occasional problems and challenges that come our way individually. Challenges will arise in different areas of our lives, such problems may be financial in nature, or marital problems, health issues, academic problems, addictions or strange afflictions.
Challenges and problems are universal, whatever you’re going through in life is not new under the sun, but the good news is this: There is a way out!
1 Corinthians 15:57 states, “But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Whatever webs of problems the enemy seems to have woven around your life, there is total victory for you! Romans 8:37 states, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us.”

Why You Need to Overcome
1) All that you need on the earth to fulfill your destiny has been made available in God.
2 Peter 1:3 says, “…as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.”
Jesus paid for it all on the cross and made it available to you, He put it within your reach but you see, you must be determined and rise up to possess what He made available.
2) It will be an insult not to live a life of victory and dominion, considering the costly price Jesus paid for you.
One of the ways to honor the Lord is to make manifest in your life all that He suffered and bled for, meaning you have to maximize the potency of His blood!
3) So many lives and destinies are interwoven with your own.
No man really lives to himself. There are countless destinies awaiting your manifestation. Some of them are your family members and most of them are people you are yet to meet.
Can you imagine how disastrous it would be if you remain small, limited and oppressed by the enemy? Often, God’s design and pattern of operation is that whenever He wants to deliver and bless a nation, family or generation, He raises a man for that purpose and assigns him his place. But if that man chooses to stay beaten down by life’s circumstances, he has made God lose an entire family or generation, and has also caused that family or generation to miss God!
Acts 13:36 tells us, “For David after he had served his own generation by the will of God fell asleep…” What if David had not overcome the challenges and problems the enemy threw on his path and all around him? Definitely his generation would have missed God!

What You Need to Know to Overcome
In gaining the victory in life, prayer is indispensable. And not just half-hearted 5-minute prayers, but fervent prayers. Prayers that come from deep within your heart and soul is what I mean by fervent prayers.
James 5:13,16 says, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray!… The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
Prayers of desperate desires are always answered by God! See 1 Samuel 1:1-20. Please read that scripture in order to understand how fervent prayer is from the very depths of your heart and soul.

How Fervent Prayer Helps You Overcome
1) You must pray fervently to overcome!
Please don’t be afraid, and don’t allow the devil distract you. Put away distractions and find a place where you won’t be disturbed and pour out your heart to God, and don’t stop until your victory is secured. As a drowning man gasps for air, so your desperation must be so strong that it is felt by heaven!
Remember Elijah in James 5:17…If his fervent prayers can hold and release the rain, surely your fervent prayers will gain heaven’s attention. If your health permits, go on a fast and set aside a number of days to lift up your voice to heaven. Don’t forget this: pray until something supernatural happens to you,
It is by fervent prayer God opens your eyes to see the invisible, and shows you what is ahead of you and what you should do about it. Earnest prayer gives you undefeatable counsel and strategies to apply in your particular situation. Constant prayer develops your spirit to recognize and discern when the Lord is speaking to you.
It is by prayer that you move God’s hand to work things out in your favor and justification. Prayer allows you to take possession of all that heaven has allocated to you. It is by violent prayer that difficult problems are shattered and cast into the depth of the sea.
It is by prayer that you secure your future and that of your loved ones. Through constant prayer, God sends His angels to deliver His people from captivity and oppression.
Acts 12:5 ,7 tells us, “Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the Church…Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him and a light shone in the prison and he struck him on the side and raised him up, saying ‘Arise quickly.'” Fervent prayers change the game and put you in charge!

2) Build and anchor your faith in God’s Word.
Faith is a potent and supernatural force. Faith is so much potent that it does not see anything as impossible! Ask God to reveal His Word to you. God’s Word is a very strong anchor in life’s battles. Meditate on God’s Word and believe it. Accept His Word as final and not the present challenges.
Let His Word never depart from your lips. 1 Peter 3:10 says, “He who would love life and see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.” Don’t speak evil, speak God’s revealed word and pray God’s word.
3) Avoid self-pity by all means.
Don’t let the devil make you feel unworthy of God’s intervention in your life. God loves you enough to sacrifice His precious Son for you. He loves you enough to step into your situation and make you a champion in life. May God grant you grace to follow these steps and win in life! Shalom!
